Grad Film Wins Big At American Black Film Festival

Kiel Scott

A successful summer for the Grad Film community continued when rising third-year Kiel Scott walked off with the Grand Prize in the HBO Short Film Competition at the American Black Film Festival in June, for his second-year film project 'The Roe Effect'.

The prestigious award - which brings with it a hefty $20,000 prize - was won last year by Grad Film student Rashaad Ernesto Green, who was back again as a finalist this year with his film 'Cuts', along with Randy Wilkins and his thesis film 'Osvaldo's'.
