2009 MFA Graduate Film Market

The Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film & Television's Graduate Film Division will hold its 2009 public screening of student thesis films in a market format on Tuesday, May 5, from 3 to 6 p.m. The event will be held in the Lower Level theaters of 721 Broadway.

The Kanbar Institute of Film and Television is proud to introduce this year’s class of graduating students, and their work, to the professional film community.  These students follow in the footsteps of many critically and commercially successful filmmakers as they embark on the journey into the larger world.

To put the emphasis on meeting the graduates and allowing them to present their future projects, we have opted for a market format. Their work will be screened using three theaters simultaneously.  This is a great opportunity to meet these talented directors who will have DVDs of prior work, along with screenplays, documentary proposals, and other great ideas.

Please join us Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 721 Broadway - Lower Level Theaters, 3 - 6 p.m.  There will be a wine and cheese reception at the conclusion of the market.
